The TRNSMT Festival Line-up is Here and None of Us Were Ready For It.

Stormzy, George Ezra, Catfish & The Bottlemen, Years & Years, AJ Tracey, Sigrid, Jess Glynne… with names like these it’s fair enough that TRNSMT Festival has caught our eyes. Not to mention the equally impressive list set to play King Tut’s Stage: Circa Waves, Example, Fountaines DC and (my personal favourite) Irish country singer Catherine McGrath! Well played TRNSMT, you have our attention…

The full lineup is here & we are SHOOK

Here at KCL Radio, we LOVE festivals (See our epic instagram stories from #KCLRadioSummer2018). So, we may or may not see ourselves as mini festival experts. That being said, it is undeniable that the TRNSMT lineup this year is huge. It’s not just those huge names however that are impressive, the range of talent on display is phenomenal. Grime, Indie, RnB, Country and Rock are all represented. Local artists The Snuts have got a spot on the main stage, and BBC Sound Of shortlister Mahalia will be on King Tut’s the night before.  Whilst the representation of female artists may be less than ideal, TRNSMT certainly ticks a lot of boxes.

Where is it?! The beautiful Glasgow Green!

Whats the camping like?… Lucky for you, TRNSMT is a non-camping event (which means you don’t have to mosh with people who haven’t showered in days! Hooray! AND this helps keeps the ticket prices down! Double win.) But, the festival has links with so you can get discounts on accommodation!

How much is it?  With day tickets starting at £59 and weekend tickets coming in at £155, TRNSMT is one of the best value festivals out there.

Speaking about this year’s upcoming TRNSMT, Festival Director Geoff Ellis said: “TRNSMT has amazing fans who have played a huge part in making the festival one of the most popular events on the music calendar, so we’re thrilled to bring so many great acts to Glasgow for them, this July. From Main Stage heavy weights including Stormzy, Catfish and the Bottlemen, George Ezra, Gerry Cinnamon, and Snow Patrol to BRIT nominees Years & Years, Jess Glynne and Mabel, and great local talent such as The Snuts; we’ve put together three great days of music for the best audience in the world.”
